It takes courage to start therapy. I offer a warm, caring, and nonjudgmental perspective to my clients. If you are searching for a safe space to talk, feel, explore, grow, and change, I want to help. I believe in people’s ability to make meaningful changes in their lives for the better and I want to help them achieve their goals.
“New beginnings are often disguised as painful endings.”

I bring over 15 years of experience as a licensed clinical social worker in the Portland area to my work as a therapist. I work with both adults and teens going through a wide variety of life stressors including anxiety, depression, grief, divorce, single parenting and blended family issues. I also have experience working with addiction, domestic violence, foster parenting, chronic medical conditions, and aging parents. I use a strengths-based focus and cognitive behavioral therapy in my work.
I received a dual degree in law and social work from Washington University in St. Louis, MO and a bachelor of arts in English from Grinnell College in Iowa. I have been licensed to practice through the State of Oregon Board of Licensed social workers since 2005 (license # 3704).
Before I opened my therapy practice, I worked as an individual and family therapist for Intensive Family Services in Portland and a hospital social worker supporting patients and their families experiencing medical and mental health crises, addiction and chronic illnesses. I also worked with foster children and parents as well as homeless youth at non-profit agencies in Portland.
